Specialty metals such as titanium, zirconium, niobium, and tantalum have been used increasingly in a wide range of corrosion resistant applications. Commonly, the chemical, food, electro-plating industries, as well as power stations and desalination plants all use these high performance corrosion resistant metals in their equipment. Efficient use of these metals are therefore essential to reduce unncessary use of the precious metals to reduce cost.
